Context

PRD §3.4 — Automated notifications for key events in the system.

Requirements

• Email notifications for core team: new event created, access requested
• Email notifications for organizers: CFP deadline approaching, reminder to publish schedule
• Optional Slack webhook integration for notifications
• Configurable notification preferences per user

Current State

• Mailpit configured for local email testing
• No email sending configured for production
• No notification logic exists
